GFL GM Fluorspar SA, a subsidiary of Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited, India is pleased to announce that its fluorspar mine in Taourirt, Morocco, is going to expand the capacity of acid grade fluorspar to 60,000 tpy.
This capacity becomes available as the international market for acid grade fluorspar remains tight in a continuing squeeze between supply and demand.
The mine and beneficiation plant are operational since 2018 with the current capacity of 40,000 tpy. The acid grade fluorspar has very low content of arsenic, iron and phosphorous.
GFL has appointed XENOPS Chemicals as exclusive marketing and sales agent.
Due to the strategic location of the mine in the north of Morocco with a distance of only 95 km to the seaport of Nador, this volume is offered preferably to customers in Europe and the Mediterranean.
Oliver Rhode, Founder & CEO at XENOPS Chemicals: “We are delighted to work with the professional team of Gujarat Fluorochemicals on this project. In the current tight supply situation, this production is an exciting alternative for European consumers of acid grade fluorspar”.
GFL and XENOPS Chemicals will attend the upcoming fluorspar conferences in London and Prague. Please contact us in advance to arrange a meeting during these events.
